Caroline Shares Her Favorite Mother's Day Gifts
Celebrating Mother’s Day means something different for everyone – from the mamas-to-be, grandmothers, and daughters to those who are mother figures, have lost mothers or are trying to become mothers. And let’s not forget us dog mums! One thing remains true - we’re grateful for all the mums in our lives and love any opportunity to celebrate them. So, I’ve curated a few special gifts that each and every mum will love – from our customizable “Mum Box” and sweet DIANI Sage Bundles, to the prettiest jewels that will make her smile.
The Mum Box
Pamper her from head to toe with the ultimate gift, our customizable “Mum Box”. I created this box with my late mother in mind and filled it with all the goodies that I think she would have loved – from objets d'art to pampering essentials. The Mum Box comes with pre-selected goodies or it can be modified to include gifts only your mama will love. Here's a look inside The Mum Box:
An at-home spa day starts with the very best skin and body care products, like the Fortifying Magnesium Soak for muscle soreness and detoxification, and the Restorative Floral Bath to soothe the mind and hydrate the body. Take her shaving routine to the next level with the Brass Safety Razor – a single blade, sustainable alternative for a closer shave and reduced irritation.
Keep her skin glowing with this luxurious Body Oil from Susanne Kaufmann, made from a blend of organic oils. And to delight her senses the Perfume Oil Discovery Set from Maison Louis Marie includes five bestselling mini fragrances. This Eucalyptus & Bergamot Deodorant will keep her feeling and smelling fresh, without the toxic ingredients.
The Pirro Candle is made by hand in Brooklyn, NY using organic soy wax, and doubles as a work of art – she will love the soothing nature-inspired shape and texture. Add a beautiful memento to her desk or vanity with this Dandelion Paperweight. And a lovely notebook to jot down her thoughts, the Begonia Plant Notebook features a soft cover and lined paper inside.
The DIANI Sage Bundle is filled with dried flowers, grasses and a sage wand, a lovely gift that keeps on giving. And last, but certainly not least these Shearling Slippers will give her all the comfort without sacrificing on style.
The DIANI Sage Bundles
While I love fresh flowers, our custom designed DIANI Sage Bundles are a beautiful alternative that lasts longer too. I created these bundles one Sunday afternoon, with a selection of beautiful dried grasses and flowers, which I sourced locally, and made two color palettes - yellow and pink. I use a sage wand as the base and arrange the dried, wild flowers and grasses around it. My favorite part is that the flowers can be separated so that the wand can be burned around your home. This is a perfect gift for the mama in your life – by itself, as a topper with another gift or even as part of a Mother’s Day table setting.
Adina Reyter Jewelry
What better way to show your love than with a timeless piece of jewelry from fan favorite designer, Adina Reyter. This classic-meets-everyday fine jewelry wears well on anyone and the understated designs can be worn with anything – from a little black dress to a t-shirt and jeans. And just in time for Mother’s Day, we added new necklaces, earrings and rings to the shop, like the Tiny Pave Folded Heart Necklace, Single Diamond Necklace and the Turquoise + Diamond Amigos Necklace for a subtle pop of color. If ring bling is more her thing, the Diana Sapphire & Diamond Amigos Ring is my pick. And with a variety of designs to choose from, we can help you find just the right one for your mum. The Soko "Mama" Cuff
Designed and handmade in Kenya with a thoughtful sentiment in mind, the Mama Cuff proves that it's what's on the inside that counts. This personalized 24k gold plated brass bracelet combines a classic cuff shape with luxe handcrafted artistry, and finished with a hand-stamped interior message. This cuff wears well on its own, but also looks lovely layered with her other favorite bracelets. A sweet reminder for mum that she's always loved.
As many of you know, my mum, Patsy passed away 26 years ago, and along with missing her terribly, I wonder who she would be in this world we live in today and what she would be drawn to, find pleasure in, etc. What I do know is that mothers bear a huge responsibility in shaping who we are, and mine helped me understand the value of adventure, humor, art, and having a rebellious spirit. Most importantly, I've learned that mothers are human with complexities and flaws and we owe it to them to express that we know they're doing the best they know how and we love them unconditionally. This Mother's Day, I'm celebrating her and all the mothers out there – thank you for all that you do and the gifts that you share daily.
